Mae Thorne

Mel, known as Mae Thorne, is a South African living in DC, USA. A masterful storyteller, she has an incredible ability to curate, and to take dancers and listeners on a journey. She is known to deliver powerful and punchy Melodic House and Techno with playful and industrial Indie Dance and soulful melodies. She adopted her alter-ego "Bad Bitch”, from her first DJ set in 2021. This is a nod to her playful and “not-too-serious” attitude which she uses in the hope to encourage women to find their inner “bad bitch” and to chase their dreams, no matter their age or stage of life. In chasing her dreams, she invested time in learning music production and released her first single in November 2024.
