Kai State

Kai State is the techno alias of Canadian producer Dan Szabo, best known for his bass music project, ZABO. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Dan spent his early years in production fine-tuning his skills with bass music. After diving deep into Toronto’s techno scene over the years, Dan fell in love with techno, just as he had with bass music in the years prior. Eventually, Dan decided to combine his production knowledge with his love for techno, and the Kai State project was born. Inspired by the likes of Eli Brown, Space 92, Layton Giordani, and more, Kai State’s sound combines punchy drums, gritty basses, and melodic elements sprinkled throughout.
